A client’s wide area analog conventional radio system was incapable of meeting the FCC narrowband mandate. The mountaintop repeaters which connect via microwave and wire line, were outdated and in need of replacement. The needs of this client included the ability to have mobile radios that hear all radio traffic from any location within their wide area of coverage as well as the ability to track vehicles. Due to the extreme Alaska environment, the old system in place could not accomplish the needs of the client. Harsh weather often brought sites offline.

By replaced all of the client’s old analog repeaters mobile radios and portable radios with the state of the art MOTOTRBO® digital radios. The client is now capable of tracking their assets in the field and is able to communicate anywhere in their wide area network without any of the issues they had before.
