Recent Commercial Project Highlights:

This client’s wide area analog conventional radio system was incapable of meeting the FCC narrowband mandate. The mountaintop repeaters which connect via microwave and wire line, were outdated and in need of replacement. The needs of this client included the ability to have mobile radios that hear all radio traffic from any location within their wide area of coverage as well as the ability to track vehicles. Due to the extreme Alaska environment, the old system in place could not accomplish the needs of the client. Harsh weather often brought sites offline.

Arcticom’s team of project managers and engineers assessed the current hardware and construction of the client’s radio communications in order to provide the most cost effective and efficient communication solution.

After careful assessment and planning, the client decided to go with the Motorola Solutions Mototrbo radio system to take care of their needs. Arcticom replaced all of the client’s old analog repeaters, mobile radios, and portable radios with the state of the art Mototrbo digital radios. The client is now capable of tracking their assets in the field and is able to communicate anywhere in their wide area network without any of the issues they had before.

Arcticom provided the client with state of the art Motorola Solutions communications systems that exceeded all expectations. Along with the Mototrbo communications, Arcticom upgraded dispatch consoles which allowed GUI screens to add GPS tracking software and recording equipment that records radio and phone traffic.

Arcticom installed all of the new repeaters and integrated them into the client’s IP network. Included in this installation were new base stations, mobile radio integration into fleet vehicles, as well as a new dispatch center. Operation training for all of the new technologies installed was provided as well.
